Text message consent

Effective September 28, 2026 · Updated October 29, 2026

In short: PACE texts parents only about their child's learning center (closures, schedule changes, reminders), and only after the parent agrees. No marketing. Reply STOP to any text to stop, or HELP for help.

Who sends these texts

PACE is attendance software used by independent learning centers, such as tutoring centers. PACE is operated by Belal Zahran, sole proprietor doing business as PACE, in Orange County, California. When a center uses PACE Announcements, PACE sends the texts on the center's behalf, and every text starts with "PACE for" followed by the center's name, so parents always know which center it is about.

What the texts are about

These are informational messages only. PACE never sends marketing or promotional texts, and never texts a number for any purpose other than the center's notices.

How parents opt in

  1. When a parent enrolls their child, or later at the center, the parent gives the center their mobile number and agrees to receive texts. Centers use this consent statement on their enrollment or consent form:
"I agree to receive text messages from PACE about [center name], such as closures, schedule changes and reminders, at the mobile number I provided. Message frequency varies, about 1 to 4 messages per month. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of enrollment. Privacy policy: paceattend.com/privacy. Terms: paceattend.com/terms."
  2. The center then records that consent in PACE by ticking this box on the student's record. PACE stores the date, the phone number and who recorded it. If the number changes, consent is withdrawn until it is recorded again for the new number:
  3. Before a center's first message, the center owner also confirms in PACE that they will only record consent after a parent agreed, will only send announcements about the center, and will withdraw consent if a parent asks. That confirmation records nothing about any parent; PACE keeps who confirmed, when and the wording.

PACE only texts numbers with recorded consent, and never texts a number that has opted out.
